Brussels MEP lunch debate | 11 October 2016

On behalf of MEPs Wim van de Camp (EPP) and Michael Cramer (Greens/EFA), OPTICITIES Project Coordinator Grand Lyon Métropole and EUROCITIES, the network of major European cities, have the pleasure of inviting you to a lunch debate on ‘Mobility as a Service in the urban environment’, which will take place on 11 October 2016 at the Hotel Renaissance in Brussels.   

The aim of the debate is to present and discuss the final outcomes of OPTICITIES, a major urban mobility project supported by the European Commission, and how it can contribute to the large-scale deployment of advanced mobility services in European cities.

Tutorial session in Brussels | 12 October 2016

The final OPTICITIES tutorial session will provide a comprehensive overview of the innovative urban ITS tools and services that have been implemented in Birmingham, Grand Lyon, Gothenburg, Madrid, Torino and Wroclaw in the three year course of the project.

It will be an opportunity for urban transport practitioners, ITS experts and Brussels-based stakeholders to learn about the OPTICITIES solutions and their positive impact on urban mobility.

Gothenburg Study Visit | 27 October 2016

The schedule of this event will be the following:

- Welcome dinner (26 October)

- Live demonstrations (27 October)

  • On site visit with live demo of Soft Prio tram switching
  • Live demo of Road Works application and information handling for traffic information
  • Experiences from trials of OPTICITIES travel planner

Participation

This study visit targets primarily local authorities, mobility managers and industrial ITS stakeholders.

Attendees are invited to arrange their travel and accommodation. Up to 5 city delegates can get their travel costs reimbursed through the project for a maximum of 750€ per person.
